What is Reflexology?
It is a natural healing science based on applying pressure to minute reflex points on the feet and hands, thereby creating a stimulating effect throughout the whole body, enabling the body to heal itself. Following stress, injury or disease, the body is in a state of 'imbalance' and vital energy pathways are blocked, preventing the body from functioning effectively. Reflexology can be used to restore and maintain the body's natural balance and encourage healing.

The Egyptians used this science in 2500 BC Certain Indian & African tribes believed in the healing potential of the feet and today it is a very revived and beneficial therapy.

What can Reflexology treat?
Reflexology induces deep relaxation and reduces physical and emotional stress, improves circulation, cleanses the body of toxins and impurities, revitalises energy, balances the whole system, and also helps with conditions such as stress & fatigue but the benefits of Reflexology are endless.

What happens at a treatment
You take off your socks and shoes and sit back in a comfortable chair or on a couch. The Reflexologist uses hands only pressure to the feet, for each person the application and effect of the therapy is unique. Sensitive trained hands can detect tiny deposits and imbalances in the feet, and by working on these points the Reflexologist can release blockages and restore the free flow of energy to the whole body. Tensions are eased, and circulation and elimination are improved. This gentle therapy encourages the body to heal itself, often counteracting a lifetime of misuse.

How many treatments will I need?
As with most therapies this can vary depending on the condition that is being treated and your therapist will discuss this with you at the first treatment.
