What is Indian Head Massage?
Originated by women in India, traditionally practiced within the family and passed down from generation to generation this therapy is an integral part of Indian lifestyle.
This treatment includes massage of head, neck & shoulders and has been slightly changed compared to the one used in India to suit the Europeans.
Indian Head Massage promotes both physical and psychological relaxation, allowing the receiver to experience a deep sense of inner peace, tranquility and wellbeing. It reduces muscular tension and improves the circulation of blood and lymphatic fluid. This oxygenates the cells, flushing out toxins. It also stretches and mobilises the tissues of the neck and shoulders, stimulates and improves scalp circulation, which promotes texture combined with strength and growth of hair. It relaxes the scalp and tones up subcutaneous muscles, thus helping to relieve headaches, eyestrain and improve your concentration. The benefits include deep relaxation of the entire body, relief from tense muscles, headaches, migraines, eye strain etc. It also induces sound sleep, sense of calmness and peace.
